Wallace’s relocation; first to Brazil, and later to the Malay Archipelago, developed in him the qualities of his horoscope’s ‘Outer’ planet signatures; these magical places with their active volcanoes, fantastical insects, flying frogs, birds of paradise, and the human-like orang-utans stretched his imagination way out of conventional ideas; and thus, Wallace, moved by the conditions of the geography, was able to open too and imagine the fantastical and unimaginable. It was a place set for him to experience and realize a profound breakthrough.

This process occurred from 1948 through 1958, beginning when he went from the equatorial regions of Brazil to the equatorial places of Indonesia, stages that are geographically half the world away from each other. Our revealing instrument (our staining process), for seeing the secret of Wallace’s success is astrology; specifically, the astrology of his birth moment, the charts and maps of that moment allow us to now better ‘see’ and appreciate the astrological Back-Story to these major experiences during his life. The A*C*G revealed ‘where’, geographically, and ‘when’, time-wise, awesome forces would challenge him to make major adjustments.

# 557….

It is a mere excuse for establishing a medical tyranny. And we have enough of this kind of tyranny already. Even now, the lunacy laws give dangerous powers to the medical fraternity. At the present moment, there are some perfectly sane people incarcerated in lunatic asylums simply for believing in spiritualism. The world does not want the eugenist to set it straight. Give the people good conditions, improve their environment, and all will tend towards the highest type. Eugenics is simply the meddlesome interference of an arrogant, scientific priestcraft.” (From an interview with Wallace in 1912”

-
# 556….

West of the line are found organisms related to Asiatic species; to the east, a mixture of species of Asian and Australian origin is present. The line is named after Alfred Russel Wallace, who noticed this clear division during his travels through the East Indies in the 19th century. Wallace’s Line is visible geographically when the continental shelf contours are examined; it can be seen as a deep-water channel that marks the southeastern edge of the Sunda Shelf linking Borneo, Bali, Java, and Sumatra underwater to the mainland of southeastern Asia. Australia is likewise connected via the shallow ocean over the Sahul Shelf to New Guinea; and the related biogeographic boundary known as Lydekker’s Line, which separates the eastern edge of Wallacea and the Australian region, has a similar origin.”

In the three Astro*Carto*Graphy (R) A*C*G Maps above we see the transformational symbolism marking the Gilolo Island location (east of Ternate) for Alfred Wallace. The island is swept by major and minor (PARANS/crossing lines) lines, putting Wallace on a stage where he could witness universal (Neptune MIDHEAVEN) and transformational/evolutionary forces (Pluto ASCENDANT) at play; and have his Uranian (Uranus MIDHEAVEN) breakthrough. West of these planet lines is the place that came to be known as the “Wallace Line”.

Before Indonesia, Wallace went to Brazil. It is noteworthy that he headed to this Pluto Astro*Carto*Graphy line on April 26, 1848, with the Sun at 5-6 Taurus, having just crossed his birth Saturn 3 Taurus 17’ (ASCENDANT Ruler) placement; meanwhile transiting Saturn was then applying to his Pluto placement from 21 Pisces 25’ to 29 Pisces 01’.

Like Ternate, Indonesia, the Rio Negro River region of Brazil is along the equator and swept by Wallace’s Neptune/Pluto PARANS.

“Wallace centered his activities in the middle Amazon and Rio Negro, drafting a map of this mighty river using the skills he had learnt when he was a land surveyor. This was published by the Royal Geographical Society, London and it proved accurate enough to become the standard for many years. “

http://wallacefund.info/biography-wallace

# 551....Timed Chart: Astrological Back-Story To Wallace's Discovery Of Natural Selection

The timed horoscope for Alfred Wallace has 6-7 Scorpio at the ASCENDANT (1.The data of birth have been obtained from Dr. Wallace himself: the time given was, however, approximate.).

When an Astro*Carto*Graphy (R) Map of this moment is cast, Pluto lines mark the Amazon and the Indonesian Island of Gilolo with emphasis. The Pluto line is rising throughout Gilolo.

We do know that transiting Mars (Ascendant Ruler) was at 11 Scorpio on February 1, 1858 and 23 Scorpio on February 28, 1858 - in Wallace’s important ASCENDANT/1st House. In the midst of his body’s suffering, he birth his theory. We also know that transiting Venus had crossed his birth Mars in the hours before February 1, 1858.

His birth Pluto position is 29 Pisces 01’, and from the February 1st - 28th, 1858 horoscope we find the Sun, the North Node, Neptune, and Venus near to that degree.

# 550….

On February 1, 1858, age 35, on the island of Halmahera/Gilolo, Indonesia, Wallace had his Eureka Moment, with transiting Pluto at 4 Taurus 41’; by month’s end, Pluto was at 4 Taurus 56’. This contact of his Sun-sign ruler was a momentous time in his life.

Besides Pluto’s transit in 1858, there were other astrological events to his horoscope to consider. We don’t know his ASCENDANT Angle, but it could have been ruled by any of the following events. On February 1, 1858, transiting Mercury was at 17 Capricorn 20’. Transiting Venus was at 4 Aquarius 45’ on February 1, 1858, after crossing Wallace’s birth Mars placement at 3 Aquarius 53’; he was suffering alternating chills and fevers at the time. The planet Jupiter in Wallace’s horoscope, that planet of long distance journeying, was at 26 Taurus 51’ retrograde.

By February 1, 1858, transiting Uranus (mark of breakthroughs & breakdowns) was at 25 Taurus 13’ retrograde; between the 1st and the end of the month, Uranus had Stationed Direct and was at 25 Taurus 30’ on February 28, 1858.

# 548….

From Wallace’s 1869 book The Malay Archipelago

“The beauty and brilliancy of this insect are indescribable, and none but a naturalist can understand the intense excitement I experienced when I at length captured it. On taking it out of my net and opening the glorious wings, my heart began to beat violently, the blood rushed to my head, and I felt much more like fainting than I have done when in apprehension of immediate death. I had a headache the rest of the day, so great was the excitement produced by what will appear to most people a very inadequate cause.”

It was written during the wet season, while I was staying in a little house at the mouth of the Sarawak river, at the foot of the Santubong mountain. I was quite alone, with one Malay boy as cook, and during the evenings and wet days I had nothing to do but to look over my books and ponder over the problem which was rarely absent from my thoughts. Having always been interested in the geographical distribution of animals and plants…and having now myself a vivid impression of the fundamental differences between the Eastern and Western tropics; and having also read through such books as Bonaparte’s “Conspectus,”…giving a mass of facts as to the distribution of animals over the whole world, it occurred to me that these facts had never been properly utilized as indications of the way in which species had come into existence. The great work of Lyell had furnished me with the main features of the succession of species in time, and by combining the two I thought that some valuable conclusions might be reached. I accordingly put my facts and ideas on paper, and the result seeming to me to be of some importance, I sent it to The Annals and Magazine of Natural History, in which it appeared in the following September (1855). Its title was “On the Law which has regulated the Introduction of New Species,” which law was briefly stated (at the end) as follows: “Every species has come into existence coincident both in space and time with a pre-existing closely-allied species.” This clearly pointed to some kind of evolution. It suggested the when and the where of its occurrence, and that it could only be through natural generation, as was also suggested in the “Vestiges “; but the how was still a secret only to be penetrated some years later.”

-
# 546….

My travels in various parts of the world have always been in pursuit of the marvels and mysteries of nature. In that pursuit I have been led into very remote districts, and I think, although I may be mistaken, that there are a few remote parts of the world into which I then penetrated which still remain almost or quite virgin ground to the explorer…

It is in recognition of this work, to which, more or less, I have devoted myself for the greater part of my life, that this honour has been done me to-day; and I feel it an exceedingly great honour, and beg to thank the President and Council for it.”

-
# 545….

He was to remain there four more years, and by the end of his trip (and for the rest of his life) he was known as the greatest living authority on the region. He was especially known for his studies of its zoogeography, including his discovery and description of the faunal discontinuity that now bears his name. The “Wallace Line,” extends between the islands of Bali and Lombok and Borneo and Sulawesi, and marks the limits of eastern extent of many Asian animal species and, conversely, the limits of western extent of many Australasian animals.”

-
# 542….

The burial of Alfred Wallace, ‘Father of Biogeography’….

“The fossil tree

Dr Paul Kenrick of The Natural History Museum, London, examined a small fragment of the fossil wood from the grave monument using an scanning electron microscope and found that the wood has tracheids with closely spaced pits, similar to those known from Protocupressinoxylon purbeckensisFrancis, an approximately 146 million years old conifer of the subfamily Cheirolepidiaceae, found in the Lower Purbeck Formation (Lower Dirt Bed or Great Dirt Bed) in the Portland/Swanage area of Dorset [50 N 550’/ 2 W 440’].

It is known that Wallace accompanied the American Palaeontologist Lester F. Ward on a field trip to the Isle of Portland in 1894 to collect fossil wood (see Ward, 1896) and one of the species collected on this trip was even named Araucarioxylon wallacei Knowlton after him. Interestingly, several pieces of fossil wood were found in the garden of Old Orchard after Wallace died by the Tyndale-Biscoe family, who rented the house from Wallace’s son in 1916 (the late Mrs Barbara Waterman nee Tyndale-Biscoe pers. comm.). These fragments, although smaller, were very similar in appearance to the fossil on Wallace’s grave, so it is possible that the trunk on the grave was collected by Wallace and that it was taken from Old Orchard following his death.”
