(This was originally written and shared (with one person) in late summer 1984 - The person giving me feedback did not receive it favorably, so I tabled my ideas these 28 years for a season when they could shine ~ that seems to be now, this is the Saturn Return of the original flow of these ideas presented below. In those intervening years, the stage has been set for this vision. Here is the beginning and heart of that work.
Critical to full knowledge of a place on Earth is an understanding of its mineral personality. In the continuing Earth Harvest series, this paper represents a fictional dramatization of the value of minerals in applying location Astrology to actual international events.

Chamber of Mines meeting of International Mining Congress.
Topic: Optium Exploitation of Mineral Resources — Challenges and Constraints
Focusing upon a large map covering most of the continent of Africa are several hundred people representing most of the world’s major mining exporters and buyers; all are connected through their mutual interest in the Earth’s mineral resources. These people come from a number of professional backgrounds and are present at this viewing as consultants. Backing these people are huge information banks — both computer and library resource systems — and included amongst these resources is a team of Astroscientists.
Pointing towards the map, an Astroscientist identifies two vertical lines. These lines are designated by the map’s legend as Jupiter IC and Venus IC, and these lines run North and South through the African continent creating a corridor. Cities marking the corridor’s boundaries are Kimberley, South Africa on the west , under Venus, and Johannesburg, South Africa [under Jupiter] on the East. The path runs directly North/South within several degrees of both these positions. In the space between these points an enormous area is swept [up through Congo and Sudan, through Greece, Libya, and Egypt]. In the horoscope of the United States, the two planets (symbols), Jupiter and Venus are conjunct [in the horoscope 8th House]. They [virtually] share the same position and act out the meaning of their archetypes simultaneously.
Major mining districts fall under the path swept by these combined two planets, a path which represents the planets’ angular location to the Earth at the birth-time of the United States of America. For the United States the ethics of any mineral policy becomes clear as the archetypal meanings of Jupiter [5 Cancer 56’], Venus [3 Cancer 05’], [he sign] Cancer and the I.C. [NADIR Angle] are unfolded over the countries over which this corridor runs [are considered before judgement]. Natally, for the United States, the Jupiter/Venus conjunction occurs in the 8th House of transformation and regeneration…
Any trade agreement must weigh the economic and political effect upon all participants, measuring the interests of individual nations and the world economic community’s needs, as a whole. This was not being considered in 1986, when I penned these words for publication:
All humans are given birth by a mother to whom they can cling and identify with symbolically — a mother whose own essential roots extend into the soil out of which her body and the bodies of her offspring are derived. It is but a shaping wind that gives this soil its form. Thirty million South Africans have bodies composed of soil from one of the most lush and nurturing environments on Earth. The similarity ends here. It is immoral that access to South Africa’s nourishing soil is inequitably parceled out amongst South Africans and for 25 million (a full 83%) of these South Africans the very last teat providing the poorest quality and quantity milk is all that is available. This inequality names itself Apartheid, and the most central of all issues in South Africa is embodied in its policies.
Today, 5/28/12, transiting Pluto is at 9 Capricorn 01’ retrograde to oppose the U.S. Venus/Jupiter/Sun MIDPOINT.
Transiting Uranus is at 7 Aries 43’, squaring the sensitive positions.
Notable events are currently being staged in the transit active Venus/Jupiter corridor, signaling intense concerns of the U.S. interests in places like Greece, the 1st ever Presidential Elections in Egypt, struggles of fledgling South Sudan, and the role of mineral exploitation catalyzing strife in the Congo.
